Hypothesis

I expect that due to more households having access to Broadband Internet, both legal and illegal downloading of music over the internet would have increased in recent years. This will also be due to the new technologies available to the consumer being easy to access and use. The new technologies will also incorporate what were once seperate technologies and bring them together (convergence). Some new technologies will even allow the consumer to have more control over what they listen to and how they listen to it than they did before by giving them new methods of interaction, eg. editing music tracks.
